The Cardinals once again found themselves trailing early in a baseball game and could not dig their way out of trouble as they fell 6-1 at Ross Wells Park to the Moose Jaw Miller Express.
Harrison Grow struggled on the hill for the second consecutive outing allowing five earned runs in 3 2/3 innings to take the loss. Hunter Sanford tossed 2 1/3shutout innings of relief before giving way to Jake Gill and Austin Skelhorn.
The Cards lone run came via the long ball from second baseman Colin Kellington. The only other hits on the evening were singles from Thirus Jones and Ryne Niemi.
The loss puts the Cardinals at 5-18 on the season. The Cards get a two day break before hosting the Brooks Bombers on Wednesday July 4 at t:05 PM
