The Cardinls were outhit 10-3 in this evenings contest, but when it mattered most, Griffey Halle sent the fans home happy with a walkoff double to the gap in left center as the Cards defeated the Lethbridge bulls 6-5.
Home town product Tyson Black started on the mound, and tossed five innings to keep the Cards in the game. Andrew Cisneros would pitch two solid innings of relief before giving way to eventual winning pitcher Matt Zanutto
The Bulls took a 3-1 lead in the top of the third before the Cards answered with four in the bottom half highlighted by Riley Jepson’s three run home run over dead center to take a 5-3 lead.
The Bulls would tie the game at 5 in the top of the 8th until the bottom of the 9th where Thirus Jones scored on Halle’s double to left center for the walk-off 6-5 win
The Cards head to Alberta for a seven game road trip.
